The annual Tramore Oceanic Surf and Sea Festival will take place on September 25 and 26 in the seaside town. A full programme of activities for a ladies surf weekend and action packed family fun. Activities open to all at the Tramore Beach area are Beach Volleyball, guided ECO Walks, a Skate Jam, kite Making Workshop, Surfing, Kite Surfing Demonstrations, Wind Surfing Demonstrations, Classix Volkwagan Show, Sea Angling, Pony trecking, a Seaweed workshop, Battle of the Bands, a Country Market and much more. The Michaelmas celebration will feature the unique and historic Seaweed Doll Parade at the festival closing ceremony along the Promenade in Tramore, this links back to a tradition circa 1920 in Tramore, which occurred on or around the Feast Day of St Michael. The women of the town who worked the 'Bathing Boxes' on the beach always held this event in Tramore.
